1. What IngestMD is

IngestMD is desktop software (an app, a CLI, and an MCP server) that turns codebases and documents into clean Markdown for use with AI tools. It runs on your machine. These terms apply when you download, install, use, or purchase IngestMD.

2. Tiers and licenses

  • Free is free forever for personal and commercial use. No account, no key.
  • Pro is a paid license for one person, sold as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. A lifetime license is perpetual and includes updates to IngestMD.
  • Team is a paid per-user subscription for organisations.
  • New installs include a short full-featured Pro trial, no card required.

Paid tiers unlock with a signed license key verified on your device. A license is for the named purchaser (or, for Team, the licensed seat count). Don't share, resell, or publish your key. We may revoke keys obtained fraudulently or refunded.

3. Purchases and billing

Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, invoicing, and applicable tax. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

Use IngestMD only on code and documents you have the right to access. Don't attempt to circumvent license verification, and don't use the software to break any law. You are responsible for what you send to any AI provider you connect; IngestMD's redaction features help, but you stay in control of your own data.

5. Privacy

IngestMD is local-first with no telemetry. Network access happens only for integrations you turn on. See the Privacy page for the full picture.

6. Warranty and liability

IngestMD is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the software in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the current version. Material changes to paid tiers will be announced before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
